Summer Explorers in Washington D.C.

Welcome to an exciting summer camp experience - in the vibrant and historic city of Washington, D.C.

Our program combines language immersion, cultural exchange, and fun-filled adventures, offering a unique opportunity to explore the heart of the United States.

During our summer camp, the participants will have an authentic experience, and deepen your knowledge of the African American culture.
They will enjoy HBCU's visits, scavenger hunts in the city, and workshops with locals! Everyone will have fun while enhancing their English skills in a 100% English immersion setting.

Our Program

English classes

Daily 3-hour sessions focused on grammar, vocabulary, and conversation skills.

Led by experienced instructor, these sessions are interactive and engaging, helping particpants gain confidence in their English abilities.

Cultural Activities

Experience American culture through sports events like attending a baseball game and cheer for the local team, local festivals or enjoying chili, hot dogs, and half-smokes at Ben's Chili Bowl, an iconic part of D.C.'s culinary.

Historical Exploration

Discover the rich history and iconic landmarks of Washington, D.C. such as the White house, Capitol Hill, Lincoln Memorial, the African American History Museum or Frederick Douglass house and its historic black neighbour Anacostia.

Social and Recreational Activities

Vacation is also the time for a lot of fun, and be sure that you will take a trip to Six Flags to enjoy the attractions, the Aventure Park for climbing and ziplining, or some bowling!

HBCU Campus Visit

Our program offers an enriching experience to explore one of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) like Howard Univerty, and it might even spark your desire to study here!

Community Engagement

Get involved in local community service projects, such as environmental clean-ups or helping at community centers, fostering a sense of social responsibility and language practice in real-world settings.

Summer Explorers is open to participants ages 12 to 18.

Minimum participants 10 (16 spots are available). If the minimum number of participants is not reached the trip will be canceled and refunded.
